New Delhi, Jun 17 : Jamia Millia Islamia student Fahad Mehfuz has made the school proud by getting selected for an international competition-- Cybathlon 2020.Mehfuz, a B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) IV Semester student, has been selected to be a part of Indian team participating in an international competition Cybathlon 2020 to be held at ETH-Zurich, Switzerland on May 2-3, 2020.
The competition is a unique championship in which persons having physical disabilities compete against each other to complete everyday tasks using state-of-the art technical assistance systems.This is the second edition of the International Competition, the first was held in 2016.
The competition has six different disciplines (Brain-Computer Interface, Functional Electrical Simulation Bike Race, Powered Arm Prosthesis Race, Powered Leg Prosthesis Race, Powered Exoskeleton Race, Powered Wheelchair Race) in which teams from various countries participate.
The Indian team by the name GenElekTech is participating in Powered Exoskeleton Race discipline. GenEleck Technologies has also been selected as one of the incubatee at Electroprenur park of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Mehfuz is also an intern in this company.
