New Delhi, June 11: India and France on Monday signed an agreement to support India’s modernisation of railway stations.
The tripartite agreement was signed between Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation, French Development Agency AFD and SNCF for technical assistance and cooperation.
French Minister of State for Europe and foreign affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne met Railways Minister Piyush Goyal and discussed the future of this cooperation.
The visiting minister also met Urban Affairs and Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Both the ministers had "extended discussions on several areas of ongoing and future cooperation between the two countries pertaining to urban affairs, civil aviation, commerce and industry."
Earlier Lemoyne met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and had "productive exchange of views" on global issues. (UNI)
