Modi, Imran Khan to meet on June 13

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan will meet on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on June 13-14 June to kick-start talks between the two countries, according to sources.

This would be the two leaders’ first meeting after Khan assumed office as Pakistan Prime Minister last year.

Khan had called Modi on Sunday expressing his desire to work together. On May 23, after the Lok Sabha election results were announced, Khan had tweeted his congratulations to Modi.
