Sochi, May 16 : Dalai Lama is not prohibited from entering Russia, President Vladimir Putin said Thursday at a meeting with activists from the All-Russia People's Front.
One of the activists asked the president whether a visit by the Dalai Lama to Russia was possible in the near future, Sputnik reported.
"The Dalai Lama is not banned from entering Russia. We do not have a large number of Buddhists living in Russia, and we treat everyone the same - the Christians and the Jews, the representatives of Islam," Putin said, answering a question."But, nevertheless, we will think about it," Putin added.
