Tehran, May 8: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday said that Tehran's decision to partially discontinue its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) did not mean that the deal was ended.
"Today is not the end of the nuclear deal," Rouhani said.According to the president, Tehran was undertaking new measures under the agreement. In particular, Tehran will temporarily suspend sales of heavy water and enriched uranium for the period of sixty days, President said.
Iran expects the other members of the deal to take measures for preserving it and fulfilling their obligations within 60 days."European countries have 60 days to start negotiations with Iran ... Iran is ready for talks with Europe within the nuclear deal," Rouhani said. (UNI)
