Colombo, May 5: Primary schools in Sri Lanka will start classes after holidays on May 13, according to a security plan unveiled by the country in the wake of deadly attacks that killed over 250 people on Easter, local media reported on Sunday.
The second term for primary schools will start on May 13, while more senior students will begin their classes from May 6. Sri Lanka has been on high alert following a string of deadly bombings on Easter Sunday in April that killed over 250 people and injured hundreds more.
Dozens have been detained since the country launched a massive anti-terrorist operation and investigation into the attacks. Islamic State reportedly claimed responsibility for the attacks. UNI
