Beijing, Apr 27: China inked deals worth more than 64 billion US dollars during the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) held here, President Xi Jinping said on Saturday.
Xi said the "cooperation agreements" were signed at a CEO conference during the BRF conference and that "more and more friends and partners" will join in.
Participants agreed that the BRF is an important platform for multilateral cooperation, and should be held on a regular basis, he said while meeting the media at the closing of the forum.
On Friday, XI pledged to make its Belt and Road Infrastructure project more transparent amid international criticism that the connectivity programme is a "debt trap" for poorer nations, (UNI)
