Hotel was blasted by suicide bomber


As police arrested seven persons in connection with eight blasts in Sri Lanka, reports said one of the star hotels in Colombo was targeted  by a suicide bomber.

AFP quoted manager of Cinnamon Grand Hotel and said  the suicide bomber came on top of  a queue for Easter breakfast and set off the blast.

Carrying a plate, the man, who had registered at the hotel the night before as Mohamed Azzam Mohamed, was just about to be served when he set off his devastating strike in the packed restaurant, a manager at the hotel said.

Reuters quoting local media reports said seven people have been arrested and three police officers are killed during a raid on a house in Colombo.
