Iran: 4.1 magnitude quake hits Khorasan

Tehran, Apr 15 : An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck northeastern Khorasan province, northeastern Iran on Sunday.
Iran's IRNA news agency quoted the Seismological Center of Institute of Geophysics at University of Tehran as saying that the tremor struck the town of Shawqan in Iran's northeastern Khorasan province at midnight local time, reports Qatar news agency.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 8 km from the earth's surface at 37.28 degrees east latitude and 57.13 degrees east, 23 kilometers northeast of Shawqan and 28 kilometers southwest of Bojnurd city.
There have been no reports of damage from the quake.
