Caracas, Apr 3 : The Venezuelan Constituent National Assembly has authorised and approved the continuation of further proceedings against opposition leader Juan Guaido.
"The National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela allows the continuation of a judicial investigation against Juan Guaido," the official statement said on Tuesday. During the meeting, the deputies called for the creation of people's courts for trials against those, who follow the instructions of the United States and confiscation of their property.
They also called Guaido's actions a crime against humanity.
The Venezuelan Supreme Tribunal of Justice on Monday called on the Constituent Assembly to strip Guaido of parliamentary immunity."There is nothing more disappointing than the non-application of justice. The fact that justice is now in effect fills us with hope," Constituent National Assembly President Diosdado Cabello said.
