Cairo, Mar 7: Egypt and Britain launched on Thursday a joint military drill in Alexandria's Mohamed Naguib military base.
The military exercise, codenamed Ahmose-1, will include training on terror-fighting and actual-combat operations in cities, spokesman of the Egyptian armed force, Tamer el-Refaie, said in a statement.
He added that the British military personnel and equipment arrived at Egyptian air bases and seaports over the past days.
Meanwhile, el-Refaie said that the Egyptian and French navies wrapped up on Thursday their joint naval exercise that lasted for days in the Egyptian territorial waters in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
Egypt regularly holds military exercises with Arab, African and Western states to boost military collaboration and exchange expertise. (UNI-XINHUA)
