Algiers, Feb 3 : Along with two other candidates, 82-year-old President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will seek a fifth term in this year's election, Algerian PM Ahmed Ouyahia said in a press conference on Saturday.
While Bouteflika has yet to react to the nomination calls over his fifth term in the office, the opposition wants him to withdraw due to health issues, as reported by Anadolu agency.
Two other candidates, former Prime Minister Ali Benflis and Ret Gen Ali Ghediri, are also nominated for the presidential race.
The electoral commission will hold the election in the country on April 18.(UNI)
