London, November 27: Russian journalist from the Novaya Gazeta newspaper Alisa Kustikova won the 2018 Foreign Press Association (FPA) London award, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Tuesday.
Kustikova, who is an investigative reporter, won the nomination called Thomson Foundation Young Journalist of the Year.
The journalist was awarded for covering several topics including environmental protests in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk, alleged violations during the 2016 elections and eviction of debtors from their apartments in the city of Petrozavodsk.
Vietnam’s freelance journalist and photographer Yen Duong Do Bao and Pakistan’s correspondent and producer Asad Pabani were also awarded with the Thomson Foundation Young Journalist prize this year. (UNI- Sputnik)
