California wildfires: Death toll climbs to nine

Nine people have been killed in three different wildfire incidents in California, US on Saturday.

The wildfire swallows many buildings and many residents were forced to run away from the home. A raging wildfire has swept into the beach resort of Malibu - home to many Hollywood stars. Wildfire also broke at two other places also.

Further north, another huge wild fire destroyed the town of Paradise, leaving nine people dead and 35 missing. In all, three major fires are burning across the California state.

Among the towns under evacuation orders is Thousand Oaks. A blaze started on Thursday near Thousand Oaks, about 40 miles (64km) north-west of central Los Angeles, prompting the evacuation of 75,000 homes. Another blaze, the Hill Fire, started at about the same time, also near Thousand Oaks.
