Harare, Nov 8: At least 47 people were killed in a bus collision at Rusape town of Zimbabwe, local media reported.
According to police, a Harare-bound bus, originating from the eastern city of Mutare, collided with another, coming from the opposite direction on Wednesday, leading to 47 casualties, including two children, state broadcaster ZBC reported.
"We confirm 47 people have died in a road traffic accident at the 166-km peg along the Harare-Mutare highway," police spokesman Paul Nyathi told ZBC, adding that several others had been injured.
Zimbabwe's Transport Minister Biggie Matiza said he was "saddened by the development". (UNI)
