Pope acknowledges sex scandals impact on Church

On the fourth and final day of his Baltic pilgrimage, Pope Francis acknowledged on Tuesday that sex scandals were driving people away from the church. Of late the Catholic church has been rocked with sex assault scandals from world over. He went to say that the church must mend its ways and change if it is to keep its flock together.

Pope Francis spoke of this problem at Tallinn, Estonia, even as a devastating new report about decades of sex abuse and cover up in Germany. He was addressing a group of youth from Estonia which is considered to be one the least religious countries. He told them that he knew how many of them felt; that the church had nothing to offer them and did not understand their problems.

Pope Francis openly spoke about this to a gathering of Catholic, Lutheran and Orthodox people.
