Congress President Rahul Gandhi met Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Friday and had a discussion with him on a wide range of topics concerning the two countries.
'I had a cordial meeting with the PM of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong earlier today. Our discussions covered a wide range of topics concerning our countries,' Gandhi said on micro-blogging site Twitter.
He also had a lunch meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Gandhi interacted with DXh YPO members at Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Hotel Marina Sands.
Later in the day, the Congress President held an interaction with the IIM and IIT community in Singapore, which will be Mr Ravi Thakran, Chairman and Managing Partner of L Catterton Asia will be moderating .
Gandhi completes his two-day visit of Friday and will proceed to Malaysia on March 10.
The visit by the Congress president to Singapore and Malaysia is being seen as efforts to increase his outreach to the NRI community, after the success of his recent visits to the US and Bahrain.
