Shimla, Jun 6 : All India Congress Committee(AICC) National Secretary Sudhir Sharma on Saturday stated that Centre's decision to not start any new scheme in the country indicates a deep economic crisis during the current financial year.
In a press statement issued here Mr Sharma said that announcement of Modi Government to not roll out new scheme launched in the general budget during the current financial year indicates the worst ever economic crisis as the Government has no control over the prevailing situation. He further said that the government decided to emphasise on those schemes which were self financing. It shows that the Centre was interested in those schemes which involved investment from the public however it was not ready to fulfill the commitment made under the Central Plan to fund the new scheme.
He stated that no new schemes would be funded by the Centre till March 31 ,2021. He affirmed that people should be aware of the fact that by saying no to new infrastructure and its expansion would remain suspended. He pointed out that in wake of no public investment how the workers sustain them. He alleged that Rs 20,00 crore economic package announced by Nirrmla Sitaraman last month couldn't roll out so far. He asked the government to explain if it has achieved anything or not. (UNI)
