Shimla, May 25 : Maximum temperature sizzled at Una town of Himachal Pradesh at 42.3 degrees which highest temperature in the state of the season. Sweltering heat waves increased in the state normal temperature stayed one to two degrees above normal in the state.
Met Office recorded a maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees at Una which is highest in the state, Bilaspur was 40 degrees, Hamirpur 39.8 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 38.4 degrees, Kangra 37.5 degrees, Chamba 36 degrees, Bhuntar 35.8 degrees, Nahan 37.3 degrees, Solan 35.5 degrees, Palampur 31.3 degrees, Shimla 28.1 degrees, Kalpa 24.4 degrees, Dalhousie 23.2 degrees, Keylong in Lahaul Spiti 20.4 degrees, Kufri in Shimla 20 degrees, respectively.
The Met Office forecast rain or thunderstorms in isolated places in the mid and high reaches of Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hrs and mainly dry weather in the rest of the state. (UNI)
