Hamirpur (HP), May 26 : Common service centers mainly known as Lok Mitra kendras in the state have proved to be a boon for the people in rural areas during the lockdown period in district Hamirpur. Right from providing money to the villagers and advice from the Medicos during the crisis, these centers have helped the ruralites people a lot and thereby earning the appreciation of the people.
In fact, the owners of such centers have become the CORONA warriors along with the people from the services of Health, Police, Home guards and Media. There are 262 such centers operating in different parts of the district at present. In Hamirpur district, first such center was set up in Anu area of the town when Anuradha Thakur was the then Deputy Commissioner of Hamirpur.
The scheme, as approved by the Government of India, envisions CSCs as the front-end delivery points for Government, private and social sector services to rural citizens of India, in an integrated manner. Common service centers are used to provide facilities to the villagers in their villages from the government level. Withdrawal of money from Jan Dhan accounts or registration in any scheme, this center is providing all possible government facilities to the people. (UNI)
