Hamirpur (HP), May 23 : A 72-year-old woman was on Saturday tested positive here for the novel coronavirus, pushing the district's tally to 61, Deputy Commissioner Harikesh Meena confirmed. DC said that she (the woman) was undergoing treatment at the secondary isolation facility site RCH Bhota on May 21 and was also suffering from liver infections.
"She had also gone to Jalandhar for treatment but returned from there and thereafter was admitted to local Medical College for treatment. Her sample was taken but its report was awaited", he said. However, she was also referred to IGMC, Shimla for treatment as her condition worsened and there too her sample was taken and that was found positive today. Meanwhile, one more person who was found positive from Seedhi village of the Kakker area of the district has been cured and would be sent to his home for home quarantine for fourteen days. The district has so far seen one death and five recoveries. Thus, total number of active cases in the district stood at 55. (UNI)
