Solan, May 21 : Five more people tested positive for Coronavirus at the Manpura quarantine center in industrial township of Baddi in Solan district on Thursday. All of them had returned from Kolkata in West Bengal on May 18.
Solan Medical Officer Health Dr N K Gupta confirmed that samples of these persons along with others were sent to Central Research Institute(CRI), Kasauli for testing. All of them had travelled in trucks from West Bengal to reach Baddi. Out of five patients, three hail from Nand Panchayat while two are from Gram panchayat Baari of Nalagarh sub division. All the five persons, after arriving at Baddi, had stayed at an Ashram at Swaraj Majra village. Later, the local administration had shifted them to Manpura quarantine center, which has been allocated by the district administration for those coming from other states.
All the five persons are in the age group of 24 to 45 and were employed as labourers in Kolkata. A total of 217 samples were sent to CRI Kasauli for testing and five samples tested positive for Coronavirus. All the positive cases would be shifted to hospital for further treatment. (UNI)
