Dharamsala, May 20 : Five people, including three women, on Wednesday, tested positive for the novel Coronavirus in Kangra district, taking the overall tally of infections to 97 in the state. All of them had returned from Maharashtra on May 18, an official said.
Deputy commissioner Kangra Rakesh Kumar Prajapati told UNI this morning that a 56-year-old woman, her 31-year-old son and 25-year-old daughter-in-law, all residents from Jheol village of Kangra were tested positive for the virus today. Mr Prajapati said that a 43-year-old woman, resident of Lambagaon and 31-year-old man, a Jwalamukhi resident, too were tested positive. DC said that all the five have been shifted to Corona containment Centre in Baijnath today. This has taken the total number of corona positive cases in Kangra to 26 including 19 active cases, 6 recovered and one death. On Tuesday, two people were tested positive in the state, including two residents from Chamba and Una districts. (UNI)
