Shimla, May 5 : Industrial township is under scanner after declared hotspots with detection of half dozen of coronavirus cases recently is under surveillance of District Administration again as two factory employees tested positive for SARS-COV-2 in Punjab Gurdaspur and Talwara.
District administration Solan today identified five people namely Mvlat Ram, Asha Rani, Manisha, Sunil Kumar, Neeraj Arunugga resident of House no 9, phase I housing board colony Baddi of Solan District under home quarantine after an employee of Winner Nippan company a leather firm tested positive for SARS-COV-2 at Talwara in Punjab today. SDM Nalagarh Prashant Deshta confirming the development said that a 49 yr COVID 19 patient left for his home town Talwar on Apr 29.
He said that the Administration after sealing his rented house at phase I housing board colony Baddi today and all people who came in contact with him before his departure placed under home quarantine would be tested for COVID-19. Administration now trying to trace the factory unit and other contact of leather firm. Similarly an employee of Vardhman thread mill of Jharmajri Baddi-Barotiwala was tested positive for SARS-COV-2 at Gurdaspur district of Punjab yesterday .
About 24 contacts of the patient were placed in home quarantine and samples of them were withdrawn today. State so far has tested 42 positive Covid 19 patients as about 7000 tested for the outbreak in the state. Solan district of Himachal Pradesh falls in the orange zone as nine persons from the district tested positive for SARS-COV-2 in the state moreover three others were tested positive in PGI Chandigarh and Punjab declared potential linkage of hotspot.
