Hamirpur, Mar 5 : A team of the MCI (Medical Council of India) on Thursday visited the local Dr Radha Krishanan Memorial Medical College and inspected the working of the institution in the morning hours. The team checked the degrees of the doctors posted in the college and also inspected the class rooms and laboratories and knew about their functioning.
It was the second tour of the team to the Medical College since its inception. The team is likely to submit its report to the MCI on basis of which it would be decided whether to give permission to the College for running classes in the next academic session or not. The College has been conducting classes for the students running for the last two sessions and that too in the hall of Multipurpose workers training school at Hamirpur.
It is worth mentioning that Hamirpur College is running on the campus of the zonal hospital and students are forced to live in private buildings in the name of hostels and feeling upset over the arrangements there. (UNI)
