Kangra, Jan 11: Congress leader Kewal Singh Pathania on Saturday lambasted the state BJP government for ignoring the problems being faced by people and wasting time and energy in propagating the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the state, among the common people.

Mr Pathania told UNI that people in the state feel cheated by voting BJP to power as the state government has allegedly no interest in the development of the state and in providing employment to lakhs of jobless youths in the state.

He alleged that on the one hand, unemployment graph was on rise, prices were on the rise and people were suffering on all fronts, but on the other hand, the BJP leadership and the state government were busy in propagating CAA in the state.

He said the road conditions in the state were pitiable, but the government machinery was busy with the CAA campaign to please the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.

The Congress leader alleged that BJP has failed to fulfill the poll promises and left the pensioners in a lurch.

He alleged that the BJP government has failed on all fronts and the state was crumbling under the heavy debts and the economy was in shambles, adding that the government was arrogant and anti-people. (UNI)
