Shimla, Aug 21 : Manali-Leh Highway, considered a strategic road taken care by Border Road Organisation (BRO) of Indian Army, was shut down once again after opening it two days ago, following heavy rain and snowfall.
Kullu police chief Gaurav Singh said landslides had occurred at Marhi between Manali and Rohtang today.
He said fresh landslides in Kullu district again blocked traffic on Manali-Leh highway on Wednesday.
The highway was opened for vehicles on Tuesday itself as vehicular traffic had been blocked following heavy rain on Saturday.
As many as 1,600 people who were stranded in Lahaul Spiti district and rescued after opening the road two days back, SP added.(UNI)
