About 193% surplus rain in Himachal

Shimla, Aug 17 : The havoc of rain continue in the hill state as Indian Meteorological Department said that 193 per cent surplus rainfall was recorded in Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hours.

Shimla Met Office Incharge said that compared to normal 6.7 average rainfall in the state about 19.6 mm rainfall recorded in last 24 hrs which 193 per cent surplus.
Kullu got 21 mm rainfall compared to normal 3.8 average rainfall in the district and 451 per cent excess to normal, Chamba got 45.5 mm rainfall compared to 8.6 average normal rain in the district and excess by 428 per cent

In terms of rainfall, Kangra got average highest rainfall of 43.6 mm that of 14.7 mm and 200 per cent excess. Shimla got average 25.3 mm rainfall and 5.6 mm normal and excess by 352 per cent.

Solan got average rainfall of 32.5 mm, than 6.9 mm and excess of 371 per cent. (UNI)
