Kullu, Aug 7 : Cloud burst incidents were reported from Kullu and Manali district of Himachal Pradesh, Sub Divisional Magistrate of Kullu district said on Wednesday and added that flash floods like conditions forced both the tourists and residents to take shelter at safer places.
Meteorological Department of India (MET) said in a bulletin that parts of Una district, Mandi, Kangra, Chamba and Sirmaur received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. The bulletin read that Una recorded 109 mm rainfall, Sarkaghat in Mandi 92 mm, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra 72 mm, Bakloh in Chamba 66 mm, Shimla 54 mm, Dharamshala in Kangra 45 mm, Baijnath 42 mm, Ghamroor 37 mm, Kangra 28 mm and Guler 25 mm, Sangrah in Sirmaur 34 mm, Chhatrari in Chamba & Karsog in Mandi 24 mm each, Palampur in Kangra 23 mm, Hamirpur 22 mm, Nagrota Suriyan in Kangar 21 mm, Pandoh in Mandi 19 mm and Jogindernagar 18 mm.
'Nadaun in Hamirpur, Bhoranj, Pachhad in Sirmaur, Gohar in Mandi & Bharwain in Una 17 mm each, Amb 16 mm, Saloni in Chamba & Khadrala in Shimla 15 mm each, Baldwara in Mandi 14 mm, Janjehli 12 mm, Kotkhai in Shimla, Sundernagar in Mandi seven mm, Kufri in Shimla 10 mm each.'
The Minimum and Maximum temperature in Shimla was 17 degrees and 23.2 degrees, Sundernagar 22.6 degrees and 33 degrees, Bhuntar 21.5 degrees and 31.5 degrees Kalpa in Kinnuar 14.6 degrees and 23.8 degrees, Dharmshala 19.9 degrees and 28.8 degrees and Una 24.7 degrees and 34 degrees, Nahan 18 degrees and 30 degrees and Keylong 14 degree and 21.5 degrees.
'Solan 20.5 degrees and 30.5 degrees, Kangra 22.5 degrees and 32.3 degrees , Bilaspur 19 degrees adn 33.5 degrees, Hamirpur 20.6 degrees and 33.2 degrees, Chamba 23 degrees and 32.4 degrees and Dalhousie 16.3 degrees and 20.2 degrees,' it added. The Met Office has forecast rain or thunder showers in many parts of mid and foot hills and few places of high reaches in next 24 hrs. (UNI)
