Thunderstorm, heavy rainfall disrupts life in HP

Shimla, Jun 13 : Thunderstorm and heavy rainfall disrupted normal in the state in last 24 hrs besides giving major respite from heatwave, the weatherman said on Thursday.

The movement of vehicles and power supply was also affected for a few hours.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Dalhousie in Chamba got 44 mm rainfall, Salooni 23 mm, Kufri 21 mm, Kalpa in Kinnuar received 19 mm, Mandi 18 mm, Seobagh and Banjar 16 mm each.

Keylong recorded 15 mm rainfall, Mashobra, Bharmaur and Kahu in Hamipur 12 mm each, Shimla 11 mm, Kheri in Chamba 10 mm, Berthin in Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Chhatrari in Chamba and Arki received nine mm each,Theog in Shimla eight mm, Bijahi, Jubberhatti, Janjehli, Jogindernagar, Sangrah, Kasauli, Chamba and Manali recorded seven mm rainfall each, Tissa, Baijnath, Palampur and Bhuntar six mm each, Kotkhai,Gohar,Sundernagar,Rampur and Jubbal five mm each Khadrala, Karsog, Pandoh, Una, Dharampur, Solan, Nainadevi and Nahan four mm each respectively.
