Shimla, Apr 15 : Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee has lodged a complaint against the two government official blaming them for violation of Model Code and Conduct (MCC) during the Lok Sabha elections.
In a complaint addressed to Election Commission of India, Party president Kuldeep Singh Rathore said that Mr Mamraj Pundir, Lecturer Political Science Education Department HP Govt and presently posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Education Minister, HP Govt for involving in Political Activities while working as Government Servant.
Mr Mamraj Pundir, presently posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Education Minister, HP Govt is openly propagating and Campaigning in favour of ruling BJP Govt in Himachal Pradesh which is contrary to the guidelines issued in Service Book of Govt employees in Himachal Pradesh and also in violation of MCC in view of ensuing Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
''Our allegations are further substantiated by his Official Facebook account which is operational in the name of Mamraj Pundir where he is openly canvassing for BJP and is seeking votes in this Lok Sabha elections." Mr Rathore said.
Therefore, we demand strict legal action against the said Govt employee in view of the Service Rules guidelines and MCC framed in this regard and he is immediately removed from his post of OSD and a departmental inquiry along with suspension may be initiated against him, he added. (UNI)
