Chairman of Umang Foundation Ajai Srivastava said in a clarification issued over the statement that he regrets mentioning of name of Cancer Aid Society Lucknow in the news item.
He said that a letter wrote by Umang Foundation to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, demanding action against some NGOs and complaining against them of indulging in funds collection through the government school students, was based on personal experience. Mr Srivastava said that he had no intention of defaming the society, as the students collecting donation in the name of cancer patients mislead him and also misquoted the Cancer Aid Society.
