Hamirpur, Feb 25 : With the official announcement of the general election days away, BJP national secretary and state Lok Sabha election in charge Tirath Singh Rawat on Monday held a high level meeting with the party functionaries of the district and exhorted them to be in touch with the voters.
The meeting was also attended by former Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal and state party chief, Sat Pal Satti. Rawat told the party leaders not to sit silent and ensure that maximum people took part in the voting process as every vote would count during the election.
Sat Pal Satti, the state party chief said that the party was united and it would overturn the applecart of the Congress party once again. Former Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the party had done a lot for the wellbeing and welfare of the masses and that's why it was optimistic to win all four seats from state including Hamirpur.
While talking to reporters, Rawat expressed confidence that the BJP is sure to form its government at Centre for the second consecutive time and would win all the four seats in state. On the other hand, local party leaders told their national level leaders that they were fully prepared for the next elections and they had already completed many rounds of tours to various polling stations of the district.UNI
