Shimla, Feb 1 : Tourist resorts at Kufri in Shimla, Manali in Kullu and Dalhousie in Chamba have experienced fresh snowfall while most parts of the hill state experienced rains.
Met Office recorded 50cm snow in Dalhousie, Kufri 10cm and Manali 2cm and 12.1mm rain, Bharmaur of Chamba recorded 60cm snowfall ( two feet), Saluni 10cm and Pooh of Kinnauur 17cm, Kalpa 10cm and Keylong in Lahaul Spiti 11cm.
This capital town lashed with rain recorded six mm, Dharamshala had 31.6mm rain in Kangra district, Palampur 31mm and Kangra 18mm, Chamba 24 .5mm, Seobagh in Kullu 11.6mm, Mandi 11.3mm, Sundernagar 9.4mm and Bhuntar 9.3mm, Solan 3mm, Paonta Sahib 2mm and Una 1.6mm respectively.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 11 degrees, Kalpa minus five degrees, Kufri minus 3.4 degrees, Dalhousie minus 2.5 degrees and Manali minus one degrees.
Minimum temperature of Shimla was 1.7 degrees, Dharmshala 2.4 degrees, Chamba 2.5 degrees and Mandi 3.8 degrees, Solan & Nahan in Sirmair 4.5 degrees each, Bhuntar 5.4 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 5.7 degrees, Bilaspur 6.8 degrees, Hamirpur 7.4 degrees, Kangra 7.5 degrees and Una 7.6 degrees respectively.
High reaches were experiencing snowfall as sky was overcast today. Fresh snow and cold wave further increase weather vagaries as many roads are snow bound and power supply could not restore after recent snow fall.
