Shimla, Jan 27: The minimum temperature plunged to season's lowest level in this winter season when Keylong froze at minus 16 degree Celsius today followed by rain or snowfall in many places, the Met Office said.
Jubbal in Shimla hag 18 cm fresh snow, Kalpa in Kinnaur 12 cm, Dalhousie in Chamba 10 cm, Saluni in Chamba , Keylong, Kothi in Lahaul Spiti, tourist resort Kufri 8 mm each, Shimla, Sarahan & Kotkhai-6 cm each and, Rohru in Shimla five cm.
In Chamba Kheri received 11 mm rain, Kasauli in Solan & Pachhad in Sirmaur 8 mm each, , Chamba and Kangra 7 mm, Baijnath in Kangra four mm each, Jogindernagar in Mandi Rajgarh in Sirmaur, Bhuntar in Kullu & Dharamshala in Kangra three mm each, Kumarsain in Shimla & Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur two mm each.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was season lowest at minus 16 degrees about six degrees below normal followed by Kalpa minus 7.3 degrees and three degrees below normal, Manali minus 6.8 degrees, tourist resort Kufri minus five degrees, and Dalhousie minus 2. 6 degrees respectively.
Minimum temperature of Solan was minus 1.7 degrees, Shimla minus 1.3 'degrees, Bhuntar and Chamba Zero degrees each Mandi 0.6 degrees, Sundernagar 0.8 degrees, Dharamshala one degrees, Nahan 2.7 degrees, Bilaspur 3.1 degrees, Hamirpur 3.3 degree, Una 3.6 degrees respectively.
The MeT office forecast rain or snowfall at few places in next 24hrs. (UNI)
