Police deployed at Rohru after communal tension

Shimla, Dec 28: The state police have been deployed at Rohru, subdivision headquarter in this district, following a communal tension in the area on Thursday, senior police officer said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr Anil Kumar confirmed that two reserves of state police were deployed to control the situation.

He said that after an alleged recovery of cattle carcass from a place in the town, some majority people tried to ransack temporary sheds of minority community living in the Rohru town.

Police tried to control the mob after rising of communal tension in the market. On the protest of majority community, police lodged an FIR into the alleged recovery of part of carcass. (UNI)
