Haryana records six fresh Covid-19 cases, tally 1297

Chandigarh, May 27 : Haryana recorded six fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday, raising the infection tally in the state to 1,297. According to an official health bulletin, three fresh cases each have been reported from Mahendergarh and Rohtak districts. Of the 17 fatalities till now, six have been reported from Faridabad district, three from Panipat, two each from Gurugram and Ambala, while one each from Jind, Sonepat, Karnal and Rohtak districts.

Gurugram has reported the highest number of infections in the state with 317 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad 233, Sonepat 163, Jhajjar 93, Nuh 66, Panipat 59, Ambala 47, Palwal 43, Karnal and Mahendergarh 36 each, Jind 29, Panchkula 26, Hisar 22, Kurukshetra 21, Rohtak 19, Rewari 18, Bhiwani eleven, Sirsa ten, Fatehabad nine, Yamunanagar eight, Charkhi Dadri seven, Kaithal six and 21 US- returnee Haryana citizens. Of 1,03,376 samples, 1297 have tested positive and 98,276 have tested negative, while results of 3,789 samples are awaited. There are 466 active cases in the state.

A total of 814 patients, including 183 from Gurugram, 124 from Sonepat, 120 from Faridabad, 90 from Jhajjar, 65 from Nuh, 40 from Ambala, 39 from Palwal, 33 from Panipat, 25 from Panchkula, 18 from Jind, 16 from Karnal, eleven from Rohtak, nine from Sirsa, eight from Yamunanagar, six each from Fatehabad, Bhiwani and Mahendragarh, four each from Kaithal and Rewari, three each from Kurukshetra and Hisar and one patient from Charkhi Dadri district have been discharged from hospitals till now. As many as 53,665 patients have been put on surveillance till date, of which 35,498 have completed their surveillance period and presently, only 18,167 patients are under surveillance. The total 1,297 positive cases exclude 14 Italian nationals. Thirteen of them had been discharged after their initial test was negative and one later tested negative for COVID-19.
