Chandigarh, May 24 : Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday greeted the people, especially the Muslim community, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. They have also extended their greetings on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti which falls on the same day.
In a message here, Mr Arya said that Eid-ulFitr marks the culmination of the period of fasting and prayer during the holy month of Ramzan and infuses the spirit of fraternity, brotherhood and harmony. While greeting the people especially the Muslim brethren, Mr Khattar urged the people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with the spirit of peace, love and mutual understanding which would go a long way in strengthening national unity and integrity.
Extending his greetings on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, the Governor said that Maharana Pratap was a great warrior, known for his courage and valour. In his message, Mr Khattar described Maharana Pratap as one of India's greatest warriors who will always be remembered and continue to inspire every Indian. Meanwhile, both the Governor and Chief Minister have urged the people of the state to follow the social distancing norms while celebrating the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr and Maharana Pratap Jayanti.
