Six killed as car-dumper collide in Haryana

Hisar, Feb 17 : Six persons were killed and as many injured when a car collided with a dumper near Rakhi Shahpur village on Narnaund-Uchhana road in this district on Monday morning. Police said the injured were rushed to Hansi civil hospital from where they were referred to a hospital in Hisar for treatment. According to police, the victims, the members of a marriage party, came from Chuli Khurd village of Adampur to Milkpur village near Bawanikhera area to attend a marriage.

Except twelve, all other members of the marriage party returned to Chuli Khurd village on Sunday night. The remaining twelve members left for Chuli Khurd village this morning in a car and when their vehicle reached near Rakhi Shahpur village it collided with a dumper parked on the roadside. According to eyewitnesses, there was fog in the area leading to the accident.

They said the car driver could not apply brakes in time as the vehicle was in high speed. The deceased, identified as Dinesh alias Sunny (34), Chin (19), a resident of Hanumangarh district (Rajasthan), Kuldeep (28), Om Parkash (49), Sohan Lal (65) and Bhupinder (65), died on the spot. The injured have been identified as Rohtash, Sharvan Kumar, Kuldedep, Jatin, Abhishek and Vikram. Police has registered a case in this connection and started investigations. (UNI)
