Chandigarh, Dec 18: As part of special drive against drugs, Haryana police has nabbed two drug peddlers in separate cases in Fatehabad district and recovered 87 gram of heroin and 300 gram of opium from their possession.
Giving this information here on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Police department said that in the first incident, the Anti Narcotic Staff nabbed a motorcyclist, identified as Shiv Lal, a resident of Dhani Chataria in Fatehabad, and recovered 87 gram heroin from his possession.
In the second incident, a CIA team during patrolling nabbed Kuldip Singh, a resident of Makkha village in Sirsa district. He was arrested on the charges of possessing 300 gram opium.
In another case, a Police team in Sirsa district also nabbed two persons, identified as Bagicha Singh of Pirawali Hisar and Naunihal Singh, a resident of Ranga and recovered twelve gram of heroin. While Bagicha Singh was nabbed on the charges of possessing eight gram of heroin, other accused Naunihal Singh was arrested with four gram of heroin.
Cases under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were registered against the accused. (UNI)
