Chandigarh, Sep 14 : Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president and MP Kumari Selja and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will meet the party rank and file during the statewide workers' sammelans scheduled to be launched on September 15, Pradesh Congress Committee said on Saturday.
Other senior leaders of the Congress Party will also participate in these sammelans. The first Workers’Sammelan will be held in Subzi Mandi of Sector 16, Faridabad at 1100 hrs on September 15. The rank and file from Hathin, Hodal, Palwal, Prithla, NIT Faridabad, Badkhal, Faridabad and Tigaon Vidhan Sabha constituencies will participate in this meet.
In the afternoon the same day, a similar sammelan of party workers and leaders of Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency will be held at District Congress Committee office, Kaman Sarai, Gurugram. The rank and file from Bawal, Rewari, Pataudi, Badshahpur, Gurugram, Sohna, Nuh, Ferozepur Jhirka and Punhana Vidhan Sabha constituencies will take part in this sammelan.
On the next day, the sammelan of Congress workers and leaders from Nilo Kheri, Karnal, Indri, Assandh, Gharaunda, Panipat City, Panipat Rural, Israna and Samalkha segments of Karnal Lok Sabha constituency will be held at Jat Bhawan, Sector 12, Karnal. The same day at 1500 hrs a similar sammelan will be held at Grand Imperial on Murthal Road in Sonipat in which leaders and workers from Sonipat, Kharkhauda, Rai, Baroda, Gohana, Gannaur, Safidon, Jind and Jullana Vidhan Sabha constituencies will participate.
Giving this information here, PCC president Kumari Selja said that there is great enthusiasm in the party workers. She said that people of the state are fed up with the atrocities and anti-people policies of the BJP government and want a change. She said that similar sammelans will be held in the remaining six lok sabha constituencies in the next few days. She exhorted to the party rank and file to become more active and join these sammelans.(UNI)
