Chandigarh, Sept 4: Haryana Director General of Police Manoj Yadava on Wednesday met sportspersons of Police team who won medals in recently concluded World Police and Fire Games.
The players include Inspector Nirmala, Sub-Inspector Jagbir and Head-Constable Santosh. Nirmala won the gold in the 53-kg wrestling event at the World Police and Fire Games, Jagbir won the silver in the 98-kg category and Santosh won the bronze medal in the 75-kg.
Addressing the players, Mr Yadava said the police players have always brought laurels to the State by proving their talent in various national and international level events.
The DGP said that the player should always keep his courage and move forward with the biggest goal. "It is a matter of great pride that our players are making the country and the state proud by contributing maximum medals in country’s medal tally in international events," Mr Yadava said.
On this occasion, all the players said that they would try their best to keep the flag of Haryana Police flying high in the upcoming championships. (UNI)
