Chandigarh, Nov 22: Haryana Director General of Police B S Sandhu on Thursday said that elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of the 71st Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam to be held at Samalkha in Panipat district from November 24 to 26.
He said that in view of the expected heavy turnout of followers, large numbers of police personnel from Police Academy Madhuban, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Jind, Rewari, Narnaul and Palwal have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
Apart from senior police officers, additional police force, traffic police personnel, commandos and SWAT teams have also been deployed to keep an eye on the miscreants during the function.
