Gurugram ASI caught red-handed for taking bribe

Chandigarh, Oct 16: The Haryana State Vigilance Bureau arrested a Gurugram Assistant Sub Inspector, while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

According to vigilance spokesman, the ASI Jitender Kumar posted in Udyog Vihar police station caught red-handed, while accepting the bribe from a Gurugram resident Vineet Kumar.

In order to produce a proclaimed offender to the court and prepare his papers in a cheque bounce case, the ASI was demanding the bribe, the spokesman added.

A case has been registered against him under section 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act at bureau’s police station, Gurugram.Further investigation of the case is in progress.
