Bhuj, Oct 23 : Well-known Gujarati folk singer Geeta Rabari (23) tested positive for Dengue and was currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital here.
According to family sources, Geeta was suffering from fever for the past three days. Her blood reports confirmed the presence of Dengue virus. She is under treatment at a private hospital here.
Geeta, native of Tappar in Kutch district of Gujarat, had shot to fame with her song 'Rona Ser Ma'. In July this year, she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and dedicated a song to him. She is fondly called the 'Kutch ni Koyal' (Cuckoo of Kutch), due to her sweet voice.
Gujarat has witnessed over 7500 cases of Dengue this year so far, as the vector-borne disease saw a spurt, after a prolonged spell of monsoon. (UNI)
