Crocodiles found in residential areas of flood-hit Vadodara

Flood waters have brought at least three crocodiles to the residential areas in Vadodara on Friday. Social media also flooded with the video clips of crocodiles moving through waterlogged street.

As the river water mixed with city water, it was reported that many crocodiles were spotted in the city. Based on a tip off from the locals, those crocodiles have been caught by wildlife experts.

In the 45-second clip, which has now gone viral, a crocodile can be seen wading through a waterlogged street and snapping in the heels of two unsuspecting stray dogs who can be seen wandering around, seeking cover in the rain.

Due to incessant rainfall for over 12 hours, several major parts of Vadodara have been flooded. Moreover, the water level of the Vishwamitri river, which flows through the city and is home to several crocodiles, has also risen.

At least three crocodiles seen by locals in residential areas in the city have been caught by wildlife experts.
