Charas worth over Rs 1.20 cr seized in Aravalli district of Gujarat, 2 nabbed

Modasa, Jul 17: Two people were arrested and charas worth over Rs 1.20 crore was recovered from their car in Aravalli district of North Gujarat, police said on Wednesday.

Based on a tip-off, a car bearing Delhi registration number was intercepted between Ansol and Ratanpur check post, near the temple town of Shamlaji Tuesday evening. A total of 24 kg 190 gram of Charas worth Rs 1 crore 20 lakh 95 thousand hidden inside the car it were recovered.

The two accused-- Gulashan Kumar R Chamar resident of Ambala in Haryana and Gopalchand Suratram Koli resident of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh-- were arrested. The car was coming from Rajasthan.
