Gandhinagar, May 25 : Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) on Saturday declared the result of class 12 general stream exam held in March this year with an overall pass percentage of 73.27 per cent which was 4.3 per cent more than previous year (68.96%).
Girl students with 79.27% pass percentage have out-shined the boys who have just 67.94% pass percentage.Patan was the most successful district with 85.03% pass percentage, while Panchmahal came at the lowest rung in this regard with just 45.82 per cent. Center-wise Navrangpura in Ahmedabad topped in pass percentage with 95.66 per cent while Morva Rena in Panchmahal district became the worst performing center with mere 15.43 per cent.
Board Chairman A J Shah said that a total of 3,55,562 regular candidates appeared in the exam, of these, 2,60,503 ie 73.27 per cent have passed their examination. A total of 792 have passed with A1 grade while 11,768 with A 2 grade. Shah said that the results would be distributed at various centers made for the purpose across the state from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs on Saturday. The results have also been put on the board's web site www.gseb.org for viewing online.
