Gujarat: 3 injured in separate leopard attacks

Veraval/Bhavnagar, Feb 3: Altogether 3 people, including a five year old girl, were injured in two separate incidents of wild leopards attacks in Gir Somnath and Bhavnagar districts of Gujarat on Sunday.

A forest official said, "A five year old girl who was playing near a farm in the Navi Vajadi village of Una was mauled by the big cat. However, on hearing her cries the people working nearby chased away the beast and admitted the girl to a private hospital in Junagadh."

The second incident happened in Gundala village in Sihor taluka of Bhavnagar district where a father-son duo, who were out to graze their cattle, were attacked by one such beast.

They have been admitted to Sir T Hospital in Bhavnagar. (UNI)
