Surendranagar, Dec 14: In a somewhat bizarre incident, proceedings at a local court of Chotila in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district came to a halt when a leopard entered inside the courtroom on Friday afternoon.

The leopard, which had probably strayed from the Nava beat of Thangadh forests, also entered in a room in the Taluka level court.

Police said that seeing the leopard in the court premises people started running amok. Amid all the chaos the beast entered in to the room of clerk of the first class judicial magistrate court. There was no body in the room and people locked it quickly from outside.

Police said that the forest officials were intimated following the incident. (UNI)
